I felt a grounding, a release of energy from my body that had no place being there. - Erin McEnaney
I came to CO just over a year ago and was dealing with a lot of trauma and grief around the death of my husband. I had been running for a year and it all caught up to me creating panic attacks and anxiety, something I had never experienced in my life. I knew that I needed to find a way to ground myself or I would get sick.
When I first heard about the “Breathwork Sessions” with Lee, I was intrigued and said “why not?” For the first year that I was here in CO, I went to about 8 of Lee’s Breathwork Sessions. It felt weird at first and then each time I went, it got easier and easier and every time I left, I felt a grounding, a release of energy from my body that had no place being there. Holding onto grief and all that goes along with it can be toxic to the body if it is not released. Being with a small group of people all hoping for the same release was comforting.
The practice of Breathwork got easier for me each time. I looked forward to perhaps this time being able to capture the release that I needed to be able to move forward. It wasn’t until about a year into this practice that it finally happened and when it did, boy, the floodgates opened wide. The aftermath was so grounding for me, so freeing and the best part is that it is a very safe space to be able to let your vulnerability go and open yourself to the possibilities and a life that feels lighter.
For me, moving the energy through my body is what helps to free my mind and body from holding onto negative energy and taking the 2 hours to be quiet, paying attention to oneself and leaving feeling lighter is well worth it for me. I keep coming back for more because I do believe that we all have “stuff” that at some point in our lives, needs to “move along” and not take up space any longer. This is the perfect space to help make that happen if you are open to it. - Erin McEnaney
